Any interest in a server?

Hey guys.

Masta and Raurg have already voiced their interest in seeing the return of the server. I'd be down for it (if Zach ever shows his ugly mug again). The Mojang boys introduced a new gameplay mechanic with yesterday's release of Minecraft 1.6; ultra hardcore mode.

Basically, if this mode is activated, lost health does not regenerate when the food bar is full. The only ways to regen health are through golden apples (which heal 2 hearts) and health potions (which heal 4-6 hearts, depending on the tier). We could try playing with the ultra hardcore mechanic on to increase the game's difficulty.

Just seeing if anybody would be interested.

I feel like that ultra hardcore mode would make the game a bit too difficult at the beginning. Would we be able to open up the world that we had going or start fresh? If we are going to start fresh, I would personally like to have the old world up for a couple of days so we can get screen shots and stuff before moving on.

Ehh, I'm not that big into Minecraft but I'd play.

How about adding that new RuneScape plugin, eh? Eh?

Well I mean I'm REALLY caught up in Infestation (WarZ) atm, in fact I even found a WarZ minecraft server so I mean like, I wouldn't be too into managing the plugins and stuff. I guess it depends on how we approach it.

Are you playing on MineZ, Zach? Or a different server?

CraftZ dunno about MineZ but CraftZ seems more put together and accurate. I'll check it out though.

EDIT: On the other hand MineZ seems to have a hell of a lot more players. I'll try to play it.

P.S Just got finished watching The Last of Us gameplay, holy shiiit what a game.

Well if anyone wants to set a time and date or hell I'm open now if you wanna play craft-z it's w/e for me.

I played on that server and was kinda disappointed with it.. there wasn't much action and the towns/locations were, in my opinion, poorly built.

Yeah they dun goofed with the towns, they did well with the plugins but their creativity and buildings overall were sub-par. The strongholds are supposed to be a distance away for a fear factor, just buy the real game XD

It felt as if I was walking through a town that my little brother made and I was kinda like o_O.

Well Luke it's in the pits of summer we need to get a game for the clan before it's over.

I'm currently helping in the alpha testing of a new MMORPG called Pixelot. Unfortunately, sign-ups for alpha are closed but I'll let you guys know when beta testing opens if you're interested. The game itself looks a lot like DeviousMUD, the predecessor to Runescape Classic, but is being developed in HTML5.

Interesting, I will take a look when it comes in open Beta.

Cubeworld, anyone?

It's a new game (although I can't seem to find the price; someone keeps DDOSing the "purchase" page of the website) that has gained lots of attention via Youtube let's plays. I've watched a few of these LPs and it looks like fun. It's got a good RPG build with voxel-based (minecraft-esque) graphics.

Currently multiplayer is supported for only 1-4 people, but apparently that's an easy feature to change in the server file.

I'll play it.

I'd rather not have to buy a new game honestly.

Haven't they been hacked several times recently?

EDIT: Just checked out Survival Stories.. saw the purchase page talked about "ingame currency" that I had to pay for. NO THANKS.

Nono, you buy the game and they give you the equivelent of in-game currency for free, which is only used for trading with other players because you can't buy guns or anything useful in the games marketplace, so you sell items you find to players for ingame currency and you buy items from players with ingame currency.

So back to the original point of this thread, are we going to be bringing back -our- minecraft server?

Unfortunately, it doesn't really seem like there's enough interest in it.

I dunno. Haven't talked to either of them about it. I'll see what they say.
