The best of the best Runescape 2006

As you all know, or will now know, rs2006.net will be releasing a version of Runescape as we all loved it then. Luke informed me that pre-alpha is within weeks of release meaning the official release will I suspect be in mid July *fingers crossed*. As we all have pretty substantial experience playing Runescape, I think we should take some of the top spots as a clan hopefully in the top 100s, depending on how much other people play, I think it would be amazing if one of us could even snatch top ten. We could also turn this into a sort of clan competition for motivation. See ya then

I may join you guys. I think that all we remembered was our 11 year old selves adventuring our first MMO.

My question is: Will it feel the same now that we matured? We'll have to see on that one.

I'm goin' for lowe/mid-level PK'er until I get bored of constant death. Then I'll go main.

I doubt the fact that this will seriously be a good thing for a main mmo. Just because I still think they can get in trouble with Jagex, and that the security won't be very up to par with RS and other MMOs.

Never been a big fan of pures myself so if I do make an acc, it will probably be a main or skiller.

I'm just tired of making mains, I want to try something new.

I don't have the dedication to do two accounts, so I'll just play on a pure. Prolly a 20 defence pure for mystic and such.

Okay so, I may get cursed all over for this.. but I want 1.2x XP. I feel that RuneScape only had a low XP rate is so people play the game longer than needed, so they wouldn't have to put out updates as quickly.

You may say 1.2x xp won't drastically change it.. but if you put 100,000 xp an hour against 120,000 xp an hour there is a difference.

Also, they informed that they may not be adding skillcapes, even though it was obviously made in 2006.


I also want to exercise the fact that what keeps a game alive for long is updates. This game is frozen time. Without updates, people will get bored and leave.

1.2xp still isn't Runescape, and yes it -is- a huge change, despite the low exp rates you could still get most 99s in a month with hard work.

They also said they might add skillcapes and if they don't? Firecape duh.

And updates also killed the game, so well see how this plays out.

Not gonna lie, I really hope they hold back on the skillcapes.

Without them, people won't want to shoot for 99 as much.

Okay, I've seen the forums and I'm starting to feel suspicious about this game. It appears they've dragged it out so long half of the players are making conspiracies. If they wanted pre-alpha to actually be released, why don't they let the players find the bugs?


I'm starting to think even if there is a server, it'll be a crappy, laggy server with half of the things missing. I think they're just doing this for donations.

Apparently it HAS been dragged out a lot, but Runescape is a big game -- there's lots to do.

Worst comes to worst, we don't get to play a Runescape as it was in 2006 clone.

I find it hard to believe that they've faked it and got away with it for this long. I guess anythings possible though.
