| Ah, Lumbridge. It's where we all start out in our Runescape lives. Sure, we were all glad to get out its boundaries, its constraints, its player-safety oriented landscape... As older and more experienced players, we often scoff and say that it is the most boring spot in all the land - why would we ever want to return? The truth is - it's actually not a bad place to hang out... What's that you say? Blasphemy? Well, let me prove my point: Lumbridge Castle, now with its new bank on the third floor, is quite an accommodating building. Anytime you want to make a good dish, the Cook is ready to help out with his handy-dandy stove and kitchen supplies. Down in the cellar are even some boot respawns if you've just come back from a harrowing experience in the wilderness. There is also a church, which is always useful - have some fun playing the organ! Over at the graveyard is a nice little mausoleum, perfect for staging some sort of prank on unwitting noobs, perhaps? Walk a little north and you will reach Fred the Farmer's lot of land - if you like, you can pick up the shears in the corner and start shearing sheep (a spinning wheel is conveniently located in the castle). He also has a nice selection of chickens for you to murder. Oh, I meant love, care for, and protect... On the other side of the river is a huge cowfield - great as a substitution for those anger management classes. Who needs to talk about your feelings when you can punch out cows? Another chicken farm is across the way, but this one even has eggs (cake, anyone?). Even more important are the two sacred barrels on this piece of property. Yes, that's right. They hold FREE BEER! As for the role-playing site potential of Lumbridge, there are quite a few "activities" that would fit into a scene. The cooking tutorial house has nice upstairs and downstairs amenities, or one could even live on one of the farms. There are plenty of jobs with NPCs that one could take in keeping with the role-play. Heck, there are tons of NPCs that you can even blend in with... There's also tons of potential for messing with noobs. Luke and I, on a wild drinking spree, once had fun messing with the cow pen gate. **** This was just an example of what kinds of articles one could write from the POV of a Pizza Bandit -- come on people: write about your own favorite area! | |

| Lol, did you know that one of the bank guards does too? If you give him stew, he'll give you back the bowl and 20 gp. | |
