| Yep, I have to draw a world map with weird scales (to prevent people from copying), color it, and place a whoooole bunch of certain geographic features on it. D: | |

| Dude, Kai, what the fuck? For some reason I always have it in my head that we were the same age.. but remembering back to our previous conversations I suppose I've at least been TOLD that you're older than me..
Did you decide on MIT? | |

| I'm only a year ahead Luke, it's close enough. I'm going to University of Michigan, which is ranked in the top 10 for engineering and the only cheapish option on that list for me. I decided I didn't want 300k in student debt from going to MIT! | |

| I'm pretty sure I know two guys who go to University of Michigan, or at least some other college in Michigan with engineering. One of them graduated though.
Yeah Masta, the server is down.

| For engineering in Michigan, your major options are Michigan, Michigan State, and Michigan Tech. sometimes Western Michigan. Could be any of those! | |

| No no. Conversation of any type is totally acceptable -- it's not as if I'm posting my in-game accomplishments on this thread anymore..
What type of engineering degree are you looking to major in? I'm seriously considering environmental engineering; after taking AP Environmental Science last year I'm pretty convinced that this "green revolution" thing is really gonna explode in the next decade or two.
I'll probably minor in business because I feel as though I've got an entrepreneurial spirit.. I know my dad does, he just doesn't know shit about getting his ideas turned into reality.
Also marijuana. One day I would like to run a pot shop. That would be really cool.

| I'm looking towards computer engineering, possibly mechanical or aerospace. I haven't really decided for sure yet. I can't tell you much about environmental engineering, but all I can say is this: follow your passion. Also a pot shop is a noble goal. | |

| Follow my passion. Thanks man, will do. I'm really pretty into the idea of helping humanity (ESPECIALLY the United States) transition into sustainable resource use. If we don't do it soon I think that we'll be feeling the effects of severe, irreversible climate change within our lifetimes. That's not cool, man.
It may sound like hippie shit but I feel as if the hippies may have been right in some cases. Is anybody familiar with what happened to the air in Beijing this spring? There is also a huge brown cloud of smog over much of India's east coast. That brown cloud affects the weather along the West Coast of the USA which affects the ENSO (that's El Nino) weather patterns across the Pacific Ocean which affects rainfall (and not to mention the fishing industry) in South America. The planet is a huge system of interconnected parts. We're fucking up quite a few of these parts; they're ALL affected.
Pot Shop will be opening as soon as marijuana is legalized in the GA, by the way.

| I agree with you in pretty much every way. It is hippie shit but that doesn't make it wrong. At all! The only bright side of our species' environmental damage is that we can only damage it enough to kill ourselves off, then it'll sort itself out in our absence. Yep, that's the bright side. wooo... | |

| A lot more needs to be changed in America besides the climate, specifically what I'm after is in the government. But, yeah, humans are having a major impact on certain parts of the world through industrialization. I'm personally not a big believer in massive climate changes, but I do agree with you Luke in that we need to start fixing how we do things or it will have a far greater negative impact in the long run. | |
