It's because it isn't large enough for you to see the route. It's supposed to be a route, from level 3-90. Starting from Lumbridge, all the way to getting a hilt, to the final destination.

Yeah i been trying to walk there since march, it's kinda confusing. It's a long journey,many battles have I faced. I fell in love and had a child along the way, til a werewolf ate her and the kid so I had to leave that small town and here I am today continuing my journey to make it to that whirlpool
