| Okay, I did some math and I will buy the iron needed for the smithing goal. However, to still reach the mining goal, I need to powermine 14k iron (prior to mining the coal needed for 68 smithing). 14k iron will get me to 73 mining (from 67). So...here goes nothing.  ***No!!! | I was doing some more work with the calculators and it seems that last time, it didn't take into account that I was smithing as well as smelting...so this shouldn't take so long after all! I'll post the new information right after I finish smelting 1k steel bars and I'll see where I stand. Here we are - I need to smelt/smith 6,168 steel bars to get to 68. This will be cake compared to what I was facing before.
