Rev HuntsRev Hunting is THE main event for us Bandits. What's better than a group of us strong, brave warriors testing our arrows and scimitars against the pour perished souls of the god wars? Nothing compares with risking life and limb for the thrill of the hunt, not even PKing, in my oh so humble opinion. The following map of the wilderness is dotted with the main spots of a basic revenant hunt, which can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 5+ hours.
Following the numbers, I'll give details about how we do when we go, and boy.. do we go.
1- The center of Edgeville. This is where we meet, take a pic or two, and takeoff to go own revs with high spirits.
2- Bandit Camp on the official Runescape map, but Pizza Bandit Headquarters in any bandit's mental map. We make our delicious pizzas here and own any revs that are unlucky enough to have patrol through here.
3- The Chapel, one of our main war zones. Here we kill revs until our food is almost depleted. Plenty of prayer here with the Zamorak altar right next to you. Please, PLEASE pay attention to the orders leaders are shouting. If they tell you to leave the doors open, there's a reason for that. Listen. They can tell you to take a dump on the floor, just LISTEN TO WHAT THEY SAY HERE. It's important for your survival. Nobody wants to keep a noob's grave up. Likewise, if leaders deem it too dangerous to treck across the high level wilderness with the amount of food in everyone's inventory afterwards, they might choose to head to area 6 to get more food.
4- If the leaders of the expidetion decide it's safe enough to cross the high level wilderness, you will come across a lovely cut sapphire along the way. According to a Pizza Bandit tradition (started by yours truly, and discussed in the lore area) someone has to take the gem. Argue about it if you want, or run up and grab it, but SOMEONE has got to take that dreamy blue piece of wonder. If pursued by a rev, you take it, if not, you take it. Speaking of reventant pursuits, if a rev happens to be chasing you as you near the western border, Steve's Island (area 7) is a safe haven to wait out a rev while one has limited supplies. Once at area 4, also known as The Fishing Grounds, fish lobsters while the tinderbox and axe bringer has a fire running to restore food. Those without lobster cages, etc. can stand guard against revs, usually you'll find anything ranging from Hobgoblins to Orks in that area. Knights are extrememly uncommon, but not unheard of.
5- Once the bandits have had their share of revenant ownage, it's time for free for all. March over to Clan Wars and jump in the white (safe) FFA portal to kick each OTHER'S asses.
6- The volcano bank. This is used after the FFA fun (end of the hunt) or for food to cross the wilderness.
7- Steve's Island, named after the great Stevenkade. This area is a safe haven from revs, and whenever deemed appropriate by the leaders (maybe you, too..) of the hunt, run like HELL to the island for safety.
8- The oh so glorious bar. After the hunts some of us will head over here to get completely wasted and perform potential membership offers to people we picked up along the way.
That about wraps it up for the basics of Rev Hunting. Have fun, and kick ass!
